Making HDMI settings
HDMI Control
Set operation of HDMI Control TV and AV devices to link with sound bar operations.
Setup menu
“HDMI” > “HDMI Control” > “HDMI Control”
Settings
Off | Disables HDMI Control. |
On | Enables HDMI Control. The “ARC” setting is applied. |
Default setting
Models for U.K. and Europe: Off
Models for other areas: On
- Setting the “HDMI Control” to “On” consumes more power than when it is set to “Off”.
Audio Output
Sets whether audio is output from the speakers of an HDMI-connected TV.
Setup menu
“HDMI” > “Audio Output”
Settings
Off | The TV does not output audio. |
On | The TV will output audio. |
Default setting
Off
- Can be set only when “HDMI Control” is “Off” in the Setup menu.
Pass Through
Sets whether the audio/video input to the HDMI IN jack is output to a TV connected to the HDMI OUT jack when the soundbar is turned off (standby).

“HDMI” > “Pass Through” > “Pass Through”
Settings
Off | Audio/video is not output to TV. |
On | Audio/video is output to TV. Consumes more power than when set to “Off”, “Auto”. |
Auto | Automatically determines whether to output audio/video to the TV depending on the status of the connected devices. |

- When “Pass Through” is set to “On” or “Auto”, it consumes more power than when set to “Off”.
- When “HDMI Control” is set to “On” in the Setup menu, only “On” and “Auto” can be selected.
HDCP Version
Sets the HDCP version of the HDMI IN jack. Set as required during 4K viewing.

“HDMI” > “HDCP Version”
Settings
Auto | The HDCP version is automatically determined by the content. |
1.4 | The HDCP version is fixed at 1.4. |

ARC
When “HDMI Control” in the Setup menu is set to “On”, this setting determines whether TV audio is output from the sound bar.

Off | Disables ARC. |
On | Enables ARC. |

- Normally, there is no need to change the setting from “On” (the default value). Set to “Off” only when noise is generated by an audio signal not supported by the sound bar is input from a TV. Use the TV speakers if this happens.
