Selecting the surround decoder used in the program

Selects a surround decoder. It is used when “Surround Decode” is selected by PROGRAM on the remote control.

Settings

Auto

Uses the decoder automatically selected by input source.

The DTS Neural:X decoder is selected for DTS sources and the Dolby Surround decoder is selected for other sources.

tDsur

Dolby Surround decoder.

Expands the sound using a method optimized for the layout of the installed speakers. A real acoustic space (including overhead) will be created especially when object-based audio (such as Dolby Atmos content) is played.

Neural:X

DTS Neural:X decoder.

Expands the sound using a method optimized for the layout of the installed speakers. A real acoustic space (including overhead) will be created especially when object-based audio (such as DTS:X content) is played.

Neo:6 Cinema

DTS Neo:6 decoder (or DTS-ES Matrix decoder).

It is suitable for movies. Sounds will be output from the surround/surround back speakers.

Neo:6 Music

DTS Neo:6 decoder (or DTS-ES Matrix decoder).

It is suitable for music. Sounds will be output from the surround/surround back speakers.

NOTE
  • You can adjust the surround decoder parameters.
  • The selected surround decoder may not work for some input sources.
  • We recommend Dolby Surround while network streaming is Dolby contents.
  • The Neural:X decoder does not work for Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD signals. Select “Auto” or “tDsur” for these signals.
  • When the Dolby Surround decoder or the Neural:X decoder is selected, virtual surround processing does not work.
