Using the app to check YPAO measurements and change settings

You can use the dedicated app “MusicCast Controller” to check the results of YPAO measurements and change the settings. Use a mobile device with “MusicCast Controller” installed on it to perform these steps. The screens shown in the following steps are examples when “Living Room” is set to the name of the room in which this product is installed.

  1. Start “MusicCast Controller” on your mobile device(s), select the room in which this product is installed, and then tap the settings icon.
  1. Tap the room in which this product is installed from “Room Settings” on the Settings screen.
  1. Tap “Speaker Setup” under “YPAO” on the room screen (this product).
  1. Confirm the YPAO measurement results on the Speaker Settings screen.

You can also change the settings from the Speaker Settings screen.

Sets the speaker and subwoofer crossover frequencies.

If a subwoofer will not be used, the setting cannot be made.

When “YPAO Volume” is set to “On”, the balance between the bass and treble ranges is adjusted automatically in conjunction with the volume, which allows you to enjoy a natural sound quality balance, even at low volumes.

NOTE
  • If you will use a subwoofer, install it before running YPAO measurements to ensure a smooth connection between the bass and midrange. If you feel the volume of the bass is too loud or low, adjust to the desired volume with “SW” of “Level” item.
