I/O Interface R Series(AD/DA)

1. Overview

Rio3224-D3 / Rio1608-D3 / Rio3224-D2 / Rio1608-D2 / RUio1608SB-D / RUio0804-D / RUio16FLX-D is a Dante-compatible I/O rack. Input from analog terminals can be converted to Dante output, and Dante input can be converted to output to analog terminals.
Some models can convert Dante input to digital output (AES/EBU).

2. "Project" sheet

This is the sheet on which devices are placed.
When placing devices, the Settings screen shown below will be displayed.

  • Number of Devices
    Select the number of devices to be placed on the sheet.

  • Unit ID Starting From
    You can select the starting number for the device Unit IDs.

  • Device Name
    The device name can be displayed and edited.

3. Properties Area

When you select a device on the “Project” sheet, the device information is displayed in the “Properties” area.

  • Flex I/O(RUio16FLX-D only)
    Set the Flex I/O assignments. Editing is possible only when online. Click the [Value] column to open the editing screen.

    Move the bars to set the assignments. Settings can be configured in 2-channel increments. The upper box displays the setting value, and the lower box displays the channel number. Click [OK] to restart the device and apply the settings.

4. Editor

Double clicking a device on the Project sheet will directly open the editor.

INPUT
This explanation uses screenshots from the Rio1608-D2. On the RUio16FLX-D, only channels assigned to Input via Flex I/O are displayed.

①[OUTPUT IMPEDANCE] (Rio3224-D2 / Rio1608-D2 only)
Sets the output impedance to 600 or 10k.

②[+48V ACTIVE] indicator
Displays whether the phantom function of the device is enabled or disabled.

③[PEAK HOLD] button
When this button is set to ON, the peak of each level meter is retained. When it is turned OFF, the retained peaks are deleted.

④[+48V] button
Switches the HA phantom power supply (+48 V) ON and OFF. When the device’s phantom function is enabled, the ON for this button is enabled.

⑤[A.GAIN] knob
The HA analog gain can be adjusted.

⑥[GC] indicator / gain value
The ON/OFF status of gain compensation for the R series (AD/DA) is displayed. When gain compensation is ON, the gain value fixed by gain compensation is displayed.

⑦[HPF] button
When this is turned ON (illuminated), a high-pass filter can be applied to the audio signal.

⑧[Freq.] knob
The frequency band for high-pass filtering can be adjusted.

OUTPUT, AES/EBU OUT

Switch tabs in the upper left corner to display the editor.
OUTPUT is available only on the Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3, and AES/EBU OUT is available only on the Rio3224-D3. This explanation uses screenshots from the Rio3224-D3.

①Phones
Select the audio to be output to the PHONES OUT port.

Select the same source for L and R, or select a source for L and set R to MONO to output the audio in mono.

②[Impedance]
Selects the output impedance from 600 or 10k.

③[frame]
Sets the number of frames.

④[Polarity] button
Switches the phase.

⑤[Gain] knob
Sets the gain.

⑥[Delay] button
Turns on/off the delay.

⑦[Delay] knob
Sets the delay time.

5. Context menu

When you right-click on a Ch space in the Editor, the following context menu will be displayed.
