Selecting your preferred sound (Sound modes)

This product is equipped with sound modes for surround playback and for stereo playback. There are also various sound settings for adjusting the sound to better suit your preferences.

  • PURE DIRECT: Suppresses noise for higher-quality audio playback. It disables various processing modes and circuits (such as the front display) except those required for basic playback.
  • STRAIGHT: Plays audio in stereo or multichannel without applying sound field effects.
  • MOVIE: Applies a sound field effect optimized for video content and plays it through all speakers. It emphasizes clear dialogue, powerful bass, and a surround sound that fills the entire room.
  • ALL CH STEREO: Plays stereo sound from all speakers without applying sound field effects.
  • 2 CH STEREO: Plays stereo audio through the front speakers without applying sound field effects.
  • MUSIC: Applies a sound field effect optimized for music content and reproduces it through all speakers. It emphasizes a natural vocal soundstage, tight bass, and a natural, unobtrusive surround effect.
  • NIGHT: Makes audio easier to hear at low volumes, such as during nighttime playback. It plays sound from all speakers.

Sound modes are stored individually for each input source.
