Updating the firmware via a network

If this product is connected to the Internet and it is ready for a new firmware update, the following message appears on the TV screen when you turn on this product.

When this screen appears, follow the procedure below to update the firmware.

  1. Select when to perform the firmware update.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and select from “Update now”, “Update at 2:00 AM”, or “Skip this update notification”. The default setting is “Update at 2:00 AM”.
  • The firmware update will be executed at the selected time. When the update process is complete, the power of this product automatically turns off.
  • This completes the firmware update.
NOTICE
  • Do not operate the product or unplug its power cord or network cable during the firmware updating process. If the process is interrupted, this product may become unusable. In that case, the product will require servicing.
NOTE
  • If your Internet connection is not fast enough or you are using a wireless network, you may not receive notice of a firmware update. If this occurs, update the firmware using a USB flash drive instead.
  • Firmware updates via the network can also be performed in SETTINGS menu > “Function” > “Firmware” > “Network Update”.
