Basic control during playback

This section describes the basic control operations available during playback.

Selecting an input

Press the INPUT key to change the input source.

Displays the names of input sources on the front display as shown below. The TV screen also displays a short message.

  • HDMI: Audio from a device connected to the HDMI IN jack
  • OPTICAL: Audio from a device connected to the OPTICAL jack
  • TV: Audio from TV connected to HDMI OUT/TV (eARC) jack or OPTICAL jack
  • Network Input name (example: SERVER/NET RADIO, etc.): Audio from streaming services, etc.
  • Bluetooth: Audio from a Bluetooth device
NOTE
  • TV” operates as follows.
  • When using the eARC function, audio is played back via eARC.
  • When the ARC function is used, audio is played back via ARC. In this situation, set “HDMI Control” to “On”, and “ARC” to “On” in the Setup menu.
  • If eARC/ARC are not used, audio from devices (TV) connected to the OPTICAL jack is output.
  • You can use the smartphone application MusicCast Controller to select network input (SERVER/NET RADIO, etc.).
  • If you press the INPUT key to switch to network input, the last selected input is selected. Use the MusicCast Controller to make any changes to network input.

Adjusting volume

Use the VOLUME +/- keys to adjust the volume.

While muted, the front display will show the following when the volume is adjusted. The volume is also displayed on the TV screen.

The sound volume is usually displayed at top right corner of the front display.

If audio is being output from both the TV speakers and the sound bar, mute the TV.

To temporarily mute the sound bar, press | (Mute) key on the remote control. To unmute, press | the (Mute) key again or press the VOLUME +/- keys.
