Selecting your favorite upmixer for surround playback (3D MUSIC)

Select your favorite upmixer for surround playback.

Press the 3D MUSIC key to set sound mode to “3D MUSIC”.

To select the upmixer, press the ~ (Setup) key to display “Sound” > “3D MUSIC Upmixer”. When the 3D MUSIC Upmixer screen appears, if a sound mode other than 3D MUSIC is selected, it will automatically switch to 3D MUSIC. The effect of the upmixer expands even a stereo input signal into 3D surround multi-channel sound including the height direction. The following are the upmixers that can be selected in “3D MUSIC Upmixer” ＞ “Upmixer”.

  • AURO-3D
  • Use AURO-3D.
  • It enables optimal expansion for the placement of the installed speaker. Be sure to use this setting for decoding and viewing AURO-3D content in AURO-3D.
  • DSurr
  • Use Dolby Surround.
  • It enables optimal expansion for the placement of the installed speaker. This results in realistic sound from all directions, including overhead.
  • Neural:X
  • Use DTS Neural:X.
  • It enables optimal expansion for the placement of the installed speaker. This results in realistic sound from all directions, including overhead.
NOTE
  • When the 3D MUSIC Upmixer screen appears, if a sound mode other than 3D MUSIC is selected, it will automatically switch to 3D MUSIC.
  • The default setting is “AURO-3D”.
  • Regardless of which upmixer you select, virtual processing is also applied simultaneously.
  • When using TRUE X SURROUND, virtual effects are applied as needed depending on the presence of wireless speakers.
  • 3D MUSIC is not intended only for listening to music, but also to make the experience of watching films more immersive. Please use it according to your preference.
