Playing streaming services using Alexa

Once the streaming service you want to play is set up in the Amazon Alexa app, you can play content distributed by that streaming service by simply speaking to Alexa.

Search for “Amazon Alexa” on the App Store or Google Play and install the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone. For more information on the app’s functions, see the description of the app on the App Store or Google Play.

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.
  1. Tap “More” to open the menu.
  1. Select “Settings”.
  1. Select “Music & Podcasts”.
  1. Tap “Link New Service”.
  1. Select the service you want to add.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up an account for that service.
NOTE
  • To play streaming services on the Alexa Built-in sound bar, connect the sound bar to a network and set up Alexa. For more information, refer to the User Guide of your sound bar.
  • Each streaming service is not available outside of the area where that service is provided.
  • Services not supported by the Alexa Built-in sound bar are also displayed in the Amazon Alexa app. If you link a service that is not supported, it will not play on the sound bar.
  • A paid subscription may be required to use Amazon Music, Amazon Kindle, or Audible on the product. For more information, visit the Amazon website.
  • A paid subscription may be required to use streaming services on the sound bar. For details about each streaming service, visit the website of the service provider.
