Setting up a network
Information
Displays information for connecting the sound bar to a network.

Network Connection
Use to configure settings to connect the sound bar to a network.

Settings
Wired | Connecting to a network using a network cable. |
Wireless(Wi-Fi) | Connecting to a wireless network. |

- To make a cable connection, refer to “Connecting to a network using a LAN cable (wired connection)”.
- To make a wireless connection, refer to “Selecting a wireless connection method to a network”.
IP Address (DHCP function)
Use the DHCP server to automatically set the network information (IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, etc.) of the sound bar for the sound bar using a DHCP server.

“Network” > “IP Address” > “DHCP”
Settings
Off | Set the network information manually without using a DHCP server. To set network information, refer to “Manually setting network information”. |
On | Use a DHCP server to set network information automatically. |

a For “DHCP”, select “Off”.
b Select the item you want to set.
c Set network information.
d Press the ENTER key.
e To set other items, repeat steps b to d.
f Press the ~ (Setup) key.
This completes the setting.
DMC Control
Sets whether the sound bar is operated from a digital media controller (DMC). When enabled, sound bar playback can be controlled from a DMC on the same network as the sound bar.

Network Standby
Sets whether the sound bar will be turned on from a network device.
Setup menu
“Network” > “Network Standby”
Settings
Off | Disables Network Standby. |
On | Enables Network Standby. Consumes more power than when set to “Off”. |
Auto | Enables Network Standby. When “Network Connection” is set to “Wired”, and the network cable is disconnected, the sound bar enters the power save mode to save power. |
Default setting

- In power save mode, the sound bar cannot be turned on from network devices even when a power cable is connected. Turn on the sound bar manually.
- If “Network Standby” is set to “Off”, the sound bar cannot be turned on from a device, not even a Bluetooth device that has already been paired with the sound bar. Turn on the sound bar manually.
Network Name
This sets the name of the sound bar that is displayed to the network (its network name).

“Network” > “Network Name”
Setup procedure
a Press the ENTER key.
b Edit the name.
c Select “OK”.
d Press the ~ (Setup) key.
This completes the setting.
- Select “CLEAR” to delete all entered data.
- If “RESET” is selected, the default for the name of the sound bar (its network name) is displayed.
MusicCast Link Power Interlock
When the sound bar (master) is turned on, set whether the MusicCast devices (secondary devices) are also turned on.

Settings
Off | The power function of the sound bar and MusicCast devices are not linked. |
On | The power function of the sound bar and MusicCast devices are linked. |
