Names and functions of speakers

The names and functions of speakers connected to the unit are as follows.

NOTE
Use this diagram as a reference for the ideal speaker layout for the unit. Your speaker layout does not need to match the diagram exactly, since the YPAO function can be used to automatically optimize the speaker settings (such as distances) to suit the actual speaker layout.

Produce front channel sounds (stereo sounds).

Produces center channel sounds (such as movie dialogue and vocals).

Surround (L/R)

Produce surround channel sounds. Surround speakers also produce surround back channel sounds when no surround back speakers are connected.

Surround back (L/R)

Produce surround back channel sounds.

Presence (L/R)

Produce CINEMA DSP 3D effect sounds or heights channel sounds of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X contents.

Subwoofer

Produces LFE (low-frequency effect) channel sounds and reinforces the bass parts of other channels.
