Connecting an AV device to the sound bar
- Before connecting devices, be sure to read the following precautions.
Connect AV devices (such as BD/DVD players and set top boxes) to the sound bar using an HDMI cable (commercially available).
NOTE
- To play audio from an AV device via the sound bar, set the input sources as follows:
- Sound bar’s input source: HDMI
- Once the HDMI control function has been activated on the sound bar, video and audio content from AV devices can be output from the TV even when the sound bar is off (HDMI signal pass-through). Default setting: Enabled
- Use a 19-pin HDMI cable with the HDMI logo printed on it.
- Use a cable that is as short as possible to prevent any degradation in signal quality.
- For connecting the sound bar and TV, and for connecting the sound bar and AV device, use HDMI cables that support the transmission of video signals output from the AV device.
- For 3D and/or 4K video signals, use a Premium High Speed HDMI cable.
- For HDR video signals, use an HDR-compatible HDMI cable.
