Updating the firmware via your network

If this product is connected to the Internet and it is ready for a new firmware update, the following message appears when you turn this product ON.

Update the firmware as follows over the network from this message. If you want to update later, press the RETURN key to cancel updating.

NOTICE
  • Do not operate the product or unplug its power cord or network cable during the updating process. If the process is interrupted, this product may become unusable. If that happens, please contact an authorized Yamaha service center to have it repaired.
  1. Press the ENTER key.
  • “Perform Update” is displayed on the front display.
  1. Press the ENTER key.
  • Updating of the firmware starts.
  1. Once “Update Success” is shown on the front display, press the z (power) switch on the unit.
  • This completes the firmware update.
NOTE
  • It takes about 10 minutes to update the firmware.
  • Updating firmware may fail if there is a problem with the network connection. If this happens, wait a while and try again, or use USB flash drive for updating.
  • You can check whether there are any new firmware updates by selecting the following menu items in order: Setup menu > “Network” > “Information” > “NEW FW”.
  • When new firmware is available, you can perform the update via Setup menu > “Network” > “Network Update”.
