For configuring a USB MIDI port
A USB MIDI port must be configured in order to use DAW REMOTE.
Follow the steps below to do so.
- Connect the [USB TO HOST] connector of your DM3 series to a PC with a USB cable.
- Configure the ports of the control surface of the DAW.
- Select either HUI or Mackie HUI for the type of control surface or for the remote device.
- For the MIDI IN/OUT port, select Port2 for DAW REMOTE, as below.
- Windows : Yamaha DM3-2
- Mac : Yamaha DM3 Port2
NOTE
- Port1 of the MIDI IN/OUT ports is for controlling scenes, faders, and turning channels ON/OFF.
