Registering and deleting radio stations

You can select a radio station and register it to a preset number.

Manually registering a radio station

  1. Tune to the radio station that you want to register.
  1. Press the MEMORY key.
  1. Press the PRESETS key to select a preset number.
  1. Press the MEMORY key.
  • This completes the registration.
NOTE
  • (U.S.A. and Canada models only)
    Up to 40 radio stations can be registered.
  • (U.K., Europe, and Australia models only)
    Up to 40 radio stations each for FM and DAB can be registered.
  • To register the tuned station to the next available preset number after the one most recently registered, press the MEMORY key while tuned to the station you want to register.
  • To return to the previous screen without registering, press the BACK key.
  • If no operation is performed for 30 seconds, the display automatically returns to the previous screen.

Automatically registering radio stations (Auto Preset)

FM radio stations can also be registered automatically. This function automatically registers FM radio stations with strong signals to preset numbers.

  1. Switch the reception band to FM.
  1. Tune to the radio station from which you want to start registration.
  • Radio stations with frequencies starting from the current station are automatically registered.
  1. Press the "(OPTION menu) key.
  1. Select “Preset”.
  1. Select “Auto Preset”.
  • The preset number from which registration will start is displayed. You can select the starting preset number.
  1. Press the ENTER key.
  • The auto preset process will begin.
NOTE
  • A maximum of 40 radio stations can be registered.
  • (U.K. and Europe models only)
    With the auto preset function, only radio stations that provide Radio Data System services will be registered automatically.

Deleting a registered radio station

  1. Switch the input source to “TUNER”.
  1. Press the "(OPTION menu) key.
  1. Select “Preset”.
  1. Select “Clear Preset”.
  1. Use the cursor keys to select the registered preset number to be cleared.
  1. Press the ENTER key.
  1. To delete another registered station, repeat steps 5 and 6.
  1. Press the "(OPTION menu) key.
