Checking the audio signal information
Displays information about the audio signal and the status of sound settings.
Setup menu
“Sound” > “Information”
Input | Format | Audio format of the input signal |
Channel | The number of source channels in the input signal (front/surround/LFE) For example, “5.1 (3/2/0.1)” means 5.1ch in total (3 front channels, 2 surround channels, and LFE). | |
Sampling | The number of samples per second of the input digital signal (sampling frequency) | |
Dialogue | The dialogue normalization level of the input bitstream signal | |
Output | Channel | The number and name of output channels (speaker terminals and PRE OUT jacks) from which signals are output For example, “5.1.2” means standard 5.1-channel plus 2 channels for overhead speaker channels. |
NOTE
- Depending on the type of the current audio signal, some of the information may not be displayed.
- Even when the unit is set to output bitstream signals directly, the signal may be converted depending on the specifications and settings of the playback device.
- You can also check which channels are currently outputting sound by “Output Channel” information on the front display.
